Money is not the most comfortable topic for most people, including me, but I felt led to share and be vulnerable about my experience with trusting God with my finances as a missionary.
First, I want to say God always provides what we need. There has never been a time where I needed something and it wasn’t provided in some way or another. This doesn’t mean that I’ve always gotten what I wanted when I wanted it because there were definitely seasons where I needed to cut back, but I am so grateful that God has always provided what I truly needed. He provided for me last year when I was in Mexico and Colombia for six months of missions work and he did it so generously through the obedience of my friends and family. I was able to raise over $6000!
Whenever I start to doubt I remind myself that money is nothing to God, creator of the universe, and I am confident that he is calling me into full time missions so I have no reason to doubt that he will provide all the money needed to get me there and sustain me. My current need is $1000 of monthly support, as of right now I have $400 of committed support and am looking to raise $600 more. If you are curious what that would go towards reach out and we can chat more about it! For those who aren’t financially able to say yes to a monthly commitment right now you can also give towards my cash need which is a total of $3530 which goes towards flight costs, general moving costs, and the first couple months of housing and my internship that needs to be paid up front. I have already raised $1,025 of that goal meaning that I only have $2,505 left, praise God!
I want any giving to be holy spirit led so if you don’t feel like you should give at the moment after you prayed about it please don’t feel pressured to give. I am just sharing the need so that you can ask God and see what He is asking of you! I know God is advocating on my behalf and He knows who should give and what amount so I am fully surrendering my finances to him. This hasn’t been the easiest process but I will continue to declare the promises God has spoken over me and invite you to let God into your finances. It feels almost repetitive, but I want to make sure everyone knows how faithful God is in every area of our life!
To everyone that has already donated and to the people who will I want to say a huge thank you! Thank you for your obedience and willingness to freely give and give generously from what God has freely given you.
All the love, Isabella
